Yangon, Myanmar – 7th September 2018- Proceeds collected from the 3rd European Food Festival worth US$ 11,970 were presented by The Chaines Des Rotisseurs, Baillage du Myanmar to Myittar Yaung Chi Orphanage, Myanmar Deaf Chefs and Yangon Bake House at a cheque presentation held at The Envoy Restaurant.

The 3rd European Festival held at the Rose Garden Hotel on 28th July 2018 had 1,800 Yangonites attending and tasting dishes and beverages from the best European restaurants and hotels in Myanmar. Sponsors of the event were, Premium Distribution, Cellar Door Wines, Heineken Beer, Luther Law Firm Limited, Wave Money, Wolf Kitchen Myanmar, Volvo Cars Myanmar and Rose Garden Hotel as the venue sponsor and co-organisier under the patronage of the The Chaines Des Rotisseurs.
The Myitar Yaung Chi (Ray of Love) – Orphanages first started the boys’ orphanage with the House Elisabeth that was launched end of 2009.The two-storey building stands on a site of about 12 000 square meters and can accommodate up to 150 children. In November 2013- House Teresa for orphaned girls was inaugurated. It is located in the immediate vicinity (200m) of the boys orphanage. The building with an U-shaped construction is on one level and has an area of about 7000 m2. It is designed for 80 girls. The children come from different regions of Myanmar and are being assigned to the orphanage by the public authority.

Myanmar Deaf Chefs is a nonprofit organization that provides young aspiring chefs with hearing disabilities with educational and vocational training, allowing them to find jobs appropriate to their skills, and consequently to lead independent lives, contributing to the support of their families. Those who graduated have gone on to work in kitchens of well know restaurants and hotels throughout Yangon.
Yangon Bakehouse is a social enterprise dedicated to creating job opportunities, skills development and fair wages to disadvantaged women by providing delicious food and beverages to the community and putting all of their profit back into the business.
