ROSE GARDEN HOTEL YANGON OFFICIAL VENUE FOR THE 17th ASIAN BILLIARDS, 19th U-21 MEN’S SNOOKER AND 2ND LADIES SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP

Myanmar will host the 17th Asian Billiards, 19th U-21 Men’s Snooker and 2nd Ladies Snooker Championships from March 18-24 at the Rose Garden Hotel Yangon.
Asian and world champions will be seen in action, the championship will feature some 80 participants from 12 Asian countries: Pakistan, Thailand, India, Iran, Syrian Arab, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qatar, Sri Lanka and host Myanmar.
President of Myanmar Billiard and Snooker Federation Dr Min Naing explained, that the home nation will be fielding 15 cueists – the largest from any single country, followed by India and Thailand – and the tournament, beside valuable exposure, will enable local players to compete with the best in Asia.
Rose Garden Hotels’ 10.000 sqf large ballroom will be transformed into the competition site, allowing six matches to be played simultaneously on six tables.
“This is not only a great event for billiard fans, but for entire Yangon and Myanmar”‘ Alexander Scheible, General Manager of Rose Garden Hotel said at a press conference yesterday, “Asia and the world will be watching.”
This will be the 3rd time Myanmar will be participating in the Championship and the competition will be live broadcast on Skynet.
